Although there are many types of meditation, we can start simple. It is as simple as 1-2-3.
Let us start by developing a plan for meditation.
First, look for a place where you can practice meditation quietly. It can be your room, a comfortable chair or even your bed. Meditation requires you to sit quietly , on a pillow, cross-legged on the floor or in a comfortable chair. No matter which position you choose it’s important to always make sure your spine is straight. It’s a good idea to use the same place every day, at least in the beginning. The more personalized your spot is the better. You can decorate it with candles, flowers, and pictures of the people you love. Then, schedule a time which no one will disturb or no urgent thing to complete. If you’re a beginner, you should begin with short ten minute sessions, each day. After a while, you will start to feel deep relaxation and joy during these sessions and you will be able to meditate longer.

The first way that you can master meditation is to focus on your breathing. Just sit down quietly, close your eyes and focus on your breathing. Isn't this as simple as 1-2-3? You don't have to count your breath, just watching will do.
Breathing is something that we do all the time, most of the time without even realizing it. During your meditation, you should use your breath as a way to intentionally anchor your meditation. In other words, utilize your physiological processes to make the most out of your meditation.
Focusing on your breathing will help you master meditation for many reasons. Firstly, breathing is beneficial for your body. It decreases stress, relieves pain, stimulates the lymphatic system, improves immunity, lowers blood pressure, and more.
Secondly, focusing on your breathing forces you to live in the moment. Since breathing happens in the present, it focuses your mind on a present action, as opposed to a past or future action or idea.
Thirdly, focusing on your breathing will allow you to connect your mind and body as one. In the modern world, our bodies and mind are often treated as two separate entities, which results in a lot of stress in confusion about oneself. If you focus your mind on your breath, though, your mind is connected with your body through the process of the breath.
